Destination: Virtual Vacation
January 11, 2011
Happy New Year everyone! I hope each of you enjoyed the holidays and have entered January with a fresh outlook and renewed excitement for life.
Lucky for us, our Christmas in High Point turned out to be a white one. That evening when we got home from spending time with family and loved ones – the front of our house looked like a winter wonderland. Take a peek:
Yet I will admit, as beautiful as it was and it is today, I find myself longing for warmer temperatures (sand and surf would be nice too). Since it has snowed again I went cruising on the internet in search of a virtual vacation. Take a look at the places I chose to visit:
I could seriously lounge in this chair at the Rockhouse in Jamaica.
The Turks & the Caicos are graced with the presence of this lovely resort: Amanyara. The reflection pool show above is surely a spot any of us could sit and count our many blessings.
This poolside terrace at Isle-de-France in St. Barth has one of the few views to both the beach and the islands beyond.
I love the all-white entrance to Isle-de-France: it further accentuates how blue that water really is.
The view of Eden Rock in St Barth is magnificent. The lobby and restaurant are perched on top of the hill and the rooms are scattered around the property like hidden treasures waiting to be discovered.
This spectacular view is at Le Sereno in St Barth. The hotel is a small intimate size – only 37 rooms total.
The recent renovation was completed by famed Parisian designer Christian Liaigre. Bedroom suites overlook the aqua blue waters of Sereno beach.
