Window shopping in Beverly Hills is an experience all on it’s own.  In fact, its so great it makes not buying anything not so bad….

Before getting started – we stopped by The Beverly Hills Hotel so I could get a quick peek at the lobby design.  (Pssst – while we were there I saw Ryan Reynolds!)

Then – off to Rodeo Drive…

BCBG

Louis Vuitton

Chanel

Stuart Weitzman

I really can’t remember this one but loved the two story front window and models up in the air.

Or this one but aren’t the mannequins great?

Valentino

Chanel

Harry Winston

My preferred method of travel (and lust list auto) was on every street corner!

Last but not least!!

Truth be told…this place was not in Beverly Hills.  It was on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood but look!  This place seriously cracked me up:  The Dry Bar!  Its a styling salon specializing in blow outs!  The decor was too clever!  Check out the blowdryer chandelier.

So like I said…the window shopping IS so great that it makes not buying anything not so bad!

Happy shopping!

Isn’t it great to get an unexpected nice surprise?

Yesterday I was in the middle of a huge project when the phone rang and the president of Wake Living and Triad Living magazines was on the other end.  He told me he had a stack of their most recent publication for us and wanted to personally drop them off.  We are currently working on the WXII 12 Concept Home in Summerfield so we were already aware that Triad Living was doing a spread on the concept home.  That said, I wasn’t all that surprised when David Hughes called me.  No big deal right?

The surprise came when I met him at his car!   The COVER of this Fall’s 2009 issue was another project we recently completed – the master bedroom of the Greensboro Junior League Designer Showhouse.   Check out our May 6th blog post for more information on this great project.

Thank you to Triad Living Magazine for the honor of gracing your cover!

If you are like me and have lots of great photos, boy do I have a treat for you….

I recently came across a website that will take any image you send them, blow it up, even laser cut around the perimeter if you like and print it on reusable adhesive backed vinyl!  I decided to test it out on myself since I am working on my kids playroom.  What better place to have a giant photo of a sweet face?

The result?  I suppose my five year old said it best, “Mommy that’s the perfect picture for my kitchen and I love that its bigger than me!”  Not only did the result turn out great ~ the process was extremely easy:  I uploaded a photo from my iphoto library, approved an image two days later and within less than a week the mural was on my doorstep.  After watching a series of minute-long installation videos, I installed with the help of a five and ten year old.  It could not have been any easier.

If you too need your child’s photo blown up larger than life (or your dog, cat, hubby, favorite pal, or anything else for that matter…) check out Wallhogs.  Their tag line is Big Art ~ Big Ideas, yeah no kidding!
